🌿About The Authentic Educator
The Authentic Educator was born out of the belief that every family deserves support that sees the whole child; not just behaviors or labels, but their strengths, their struggles, and the systems they move through.
I’ve spent the last 20 years working with children from newborn through age 21, and I’ve consistently gravitated toward the kids others call hard to reach, defiant, or difficult—kids with “big behaviors,” and kids who learn and communicate differently. I’ve watched families fight to be heard, to be believed, and to get their children what they need. The Authentic Educator was built to make that fight unnecessary.
The majority of my work happens in students’ homes, in my home, and outside in nature. I focus on relationships, trust, and building learning environments that work with a child’s nervous system instead of against it.
The Authentic Educator exists to make sure families do not have to navigate alone. I partner with caregivers to understand their child’s needs, communicate effectively with schools, and create learning plans that work—whether that’s in a classroom, at home, or somewhere in between.
This work is rooted in compassion, respect, and the belief that when families are supported, children thrive.
I support students through individualized learning, advocacy, and hands-on, real-world experiences that center dignity and agency.

Families are never billed for services.
There are no hourly rates, intake fees, or required payments. Families are never asked to prove need, apply for assistance, or commit financially in order to receive help.
Support is offered first, without cost being a barrier.
Some families choose to contribute later when they are able. Many cannot. Both are okay.
This work is sustained through community support and donations, which allow access to remain open to every family who needs it.
